If there is anything I know a fair amount about it’s traveling with kids.
I’ve been a flight attendant for 9 1/2 years and a mom for 4 1/2 years.
Everyone thought we would slow down on traveling when we had kids, even us, because we got the message that raising kids is really hard, especially traveling with them. We were worried how we would stay close to Alex’s parents and family back in France once the little monster came out.
Well, she almost came out in France! I didn’t slow down traveling during my pregnancy. I worked full time as a flight attendant until my 35th week when we flew to France for Alex’s best friends wedding. I had the full blessing from my Dr. who thought since I flew for a living it’d be no problem.
I started to have serious complications while we were there and consider ourselves very lucky to have made it back to the states to have her a few days later. But, that’s a story for another day.
We have had 2 more children since then and can boast that we’ve taken them at least every year to France and many other places as well.
We love traveling with our children and I think there are a lot of myths and fears about flying with children. Like with anything in life, it is what you make it.
